Lubna Farooq Malik
Chief Executive Officer, NIBAF Pakistan
Ms. Lubna Farooq Malik brings over three decades of distinguished experience in Pakistan’s financial sector. Throughout her accomplished career, she has held several senior leadership positions, most notably at the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), where she led key departments including Banking Supervision and Policy.
Before joining NIBAF Pakistan, Ms. Malik served as Managing Director of the Deposit Protection Corporation and later with the Financial Monitoring Unit (FMU), Pakistan’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), where she contributed significantly to strengthening the country’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing framework.
An alumna of the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, Ms. Malik holds a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA).
She assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer of NIBAF Pakistan in August 2025, after serving as Co-Chief Executive Officer since May 12, 2025. Under her leadership, NIBAF Pakistan continues to advance its mission of strengthening human capital in the financial sector through capacity building, research, and innovation.
